According to a new survey by a charity, a quarter of pupils in England's schools avoid using toilets. ERIC is working with the Paediatric Continence Forum, British Toilet Association, School Councils UK and the Community Practitioners and Health Visitors Association to implement a campaign to get the Government to introduce new regulations to make school toilets healthier and easier to use. Two thirds of parents think children who wet the bed will be bullied at school, according to an online survey from the children's charity ERIC. Two thirds of parents surveyed also thought their child wetting the bed was the worst thing that could happen during a sleepover at a friend's home. Three quarters of parents think bedwetting has a large effect on childhood happiness, while half believe it has a very large effect on a young person's self-esteem.
