Box Appetit encourages children to take their lunch to school
(03/09/2010)
black+blum has created a stylish and functional lunch box to encourage children to take their lunch to school. Eating a proper lunch can make your child more productive, healthier and increase energy and concentration levels.
Box Appetit is a new lunch box. The container comprises removable compartments to enable you to divide different foods such as a sandwich from a salad or crudités from a noodle or pasta dish.
The lid locks to the base to create a watertight seal for food transportation, a small pot is integrated which is ideal for sauces and a two-in-one fork/knife is included for easy one handed eating.
Box Appetit also helps to reduce waste, save money, and protect the environment. It eliminates the need for disposable containers, is sustainable and reusable.
An accompanying cookbook, Lunch Box Revolution, is available with recipes designed for parents with a busy lifestyle who can't nor want to spend too much time in the kitchen, but do want to improve the what their children eat for lunch.
Each of the recipes follow 3 simple principles :
- They are easy to make by following simple instructions
- They are tasty, sometimes even tastier the day after
- They are made from affordable ingredients that are easy to source
Some of the recipes in the book include Meatballs, Penne Rose and African Rice.
