Four classic Maisy DVDs this summer to celebrate its 20th Anniversary
(14/06/2010)
Maisy and her friends are 20 years old. The famous mouse became an instant hit from the moment she “drew herself” one day in 1989, according to author / illustrator Lucy Cousins, who has seen Maisy become a publishing and TV phenomenon for generations of pre-school children and parents, 27 million books sold worldwide.
And to mark this special anniversary Universal Pictures (UK) is releasing four classic Maisy DVDs in July and August with all new packaging, created to celebrate the 20th Anniversary.
Each DVD covers a different theme: Discovering, Helping, Animals and On the Go. With eleven episodes on each, Maisy and her friends Charley, Tallulah, Cyril and Eddie learn about each theme by having a lot of fun! Subjects such as discovering different animals, pretending to be a doctor, learning about trains and airplanes and even tidying up (all important!) give gentle and entertaining lessons that pre-school children will want to watch again and again.
