The Pocket Money Plan is designed for parents to teach children to build their own financial skills

Julie Hedge has launched The Pocket Money Plan, a book designed for parents to teach children to build their own financial skills whilst adapting it to their own situation. This is all very topical as we move into a New Year, following a rather rough one for many families. And every parent wants their child to have a financially secure future.
We live in such a consumer society that sometimes children assume that if they want it, they will get it. The Pocket Money Plan says that spending money and saving money well are skills all children need to learn - and they need to be given time to practice them before they are adults.
'The Pocket Money Plan: A Practical Guide to Teaching Children about Money - Three Easy Steps to Help Children Learn About Money' introduces various financial concepts. It intends to help children recognise that money usually has to be earned and that saving can bring real rewards - such as being able to buy things they really want. This book is an essential for caring parents who recognise that learing about money needs to start early.
