The First Years launches folding child car seats in group 2 and 3

The First Years has launched the first folding child car seats in group 2 and 3 (4 to 12 years/15 to 36 kg) - the 505 Folding Booster Seat and the 540 Ultra Folding Booster Seat - onto the UK market. Uniquely, when not in use, the seats can be conveniently and easily folded away down to a neat, compact size for ease of storage and transportation.
These new child car seats are the first booster seats to score 5 out of 5 stars in the NHTSA 'ease of use' ratings in the US. Complying with all the latest EU standards they promise to herald a new era in quality, safe design.
The 505 Folding Booster Seat features added EPS foam padding to the six-position, easily-adjustable headrest. An important safety design sees no gap created when the headrest is raised, unlike in most child seats. This ensures the neck and shoulder area are always fully protected. Designed on narrow rails to accommodate fitment in almost all vehicles, the comfortable seat with full back support also has flip-up arm rests to make placing the child and feeding the seat belts much easier, plus pull-out snack and cupholders to keep tots occupied and to reduce mess.
The 540 Ultra Folding Booster Seat is two inches taller, wider and deeper. It features thicker, more energy absorbent EPP foam. It also has deeper headrests, rubber tops to the armrests and colour-coded belt paths for easier installation.
An 'Easy Off' comfortable cushion foam, triple-layer liner pad comes with both seats and lends itself to easy washing and cleaning.
