A brand new children’s painting service Alice & Charlotte, which specialises in providing bespoke murals, has been launched by artistic sisters Alice and Charlotte Hawthorn.

Alice & Charlotte offers a range of unique, imaginative and colourful designs that are ideal for decorating children’s bedrooms, nurseries, playrooms and bathrooms.

To date, the company’s work ranges from parrots to pirates, Barbies to bears, underwater scenes to jungle landscapes, bathroom bubbles to starry night skies... even sheep for counting to ensure children never have a problem sleeping! Alice & Charlotte will also re-create a favourite character, be it Winnie the Pooh, Sleeping Beauty, Angelina Ballerina, Pocahontas or Superman.

However, clients are also welcome to let their imaginations run riot as the sisters draw freehand and are therefore able to conjure up amazing and unique fantasy scenes.

“Charlotte and I are passionate about art and design, as well as possessing great entrepreneurial spirit, so setting up Alice & Charlotte has been the perfect way to satisfy both character traits,” says Alice, who graduated from Edinburgh University in 2001 with a degree in architecture.

“All our designs are original and every mural is the only one of its kind so kids really can have whatever they desire on their walls safe in the knowledge that no other room in the world will look quite like theirs!”

Following a free initial consultation with Alice & Charlotte, a design is ready a week later along with a budget, pending size and design, and a time line for completion.

All the materials used by Alice & Charlotte are non-toxic and durable, ranging from low odour emulsions to bright acrylic colours as well as pen and ink. Finished murals are coated in a clear acrylic varnish for added durability and easy cleaning.
