Changing Parenting Culture seminar focuses on contemporary fatherhood(13/04/2009)
The second seminar in the Changing Parenting Culture series, the aim of which is to explore how and why 21st-century parenting has become a constant source of public anxiety, will focus on how to involve fathers in child-rearing and family life. The idea for the 'Changing Parenting Culture' seminar series emerged from discussions at a conference held at the University of Kent in 2007. Titled 'Monitoring Parents: Childrearing in the Age of Intensive Parenting', this conference brought together scholars and researchers from a wide range of disciplines and generated widespread energetic debate.
