Gibside is an 18th century forest garden and has been under restoration for the last thirty years, but there is one part of its historic design that it simply can't restore, yet. Earlier this week, thirty children aged eight and nine from Rothbury First school met Lord Armstrong at Cragside near Morpeth, to explore his pioneering house – the palace of a modern magician – in a very special event.
