Unions have resolved to work together to negotiate improvements to company pay and leave policies for new parents. They will share examples of best practice where unions and employers have agreed improvements to maternity, paternity and adoption pay and leave for working parents.

Suicide ceased to be a crime in 1961 but under section 2 of the Suicide Act 1961, it remains an offence to “aid, abet, counsel or procure” a suicide or a suicide attempt.
