No Scent Baby Lotion provides alternative to chemically filled skincare
(23/03/2008)
As statistics for babies with sensitive skin continue to rise, many parents are seeking alternatives to chemically filled skincare. In particular, scented brands often cause discomfort for many babies, as they contain a multitude of ‘fragrances’.
Green People has extended its baby range, Organic Babies, by introducing No Scent Baby Lotion. This wonderfully gentle and calming lotion is ideal for massage and acts as an excellent moisturiser.
Some 75,000 chemicals may come in contact with a baby’s skin. Along with the skin’s ability to absorb up to 60% of any one of these substances, it’s no wonder that skin sensitivity is on the increase. For this reason, the No Scent Baby Lotion is also an ideal choice for mother and baby to use, helping to keep skin irritation at bay.
Charlotte Vøhtz, founder of Green People added: “The adverse effect of fragrances for babies with ultra sensitive skin has now been scientifically proven. We also now know that perfume and even certain essential oils can spark off an allergy for some babies”.
No Scent Baby Lotion contains the omega rich Hemp Seed oil with the essential fatty acid GLA, to moisturise and reduce skin irritation. Aloe Vera is both healing and soothing and Apricot oil is excellent for sensitive, irritated skin. Marigold protects delicate skin and helps to maintain moisture. This lotion works very well in conjunction with the water-resistant Baby Salve, which has lavender to heal and soothe dry, irritated skin.
No Scent Baby Lotion is naturally 100% free of Parabens, Lanolin, Perfume or any other harsh ingredients that might stimulate skin irritation.
Priced at £8.69 for 150ml tube, it is certified by the Organic Food Federation.
